I paid something like $200 for a replacement fuse for my home heater, thinking this must be the going rate. I took a look online afterwards, and the most expensive comparative part was $20. This strikes me as underhanded and unethical. I don't buy the argument of "the market will bear it, so why not charge more". A number of customers won't be informed enough to compare prices, or might be desperate in getting a fix, and you're taking advantage of them. Sean Hoffman did it again. Air One Tech is lucky to have him on board. Sean was able to troubleshoot the issue with the Aprilaire humidistat that makes clicking noise when it is running. He traced the issue back to the wiring from the humidistat that attempts to get sufficient power from the furnace control switch. If it is not for Sean, I might be asked by another technician to replace the humidistat and or the humidifier solenoid valve. There is a lesson learned here.
