We called Air Majesty regarding a dehumidifier humidity alert. Diagnostics from our AC service on August 31st (photos attached) showed the system performing normally, and the alert was present even with good readings across three separate prior technician visits. On September 25th, a different technician (Jim) was unable to identify the cause of the alert itself, but attributed it to the AC system and reported that the evaporator coil required full replacement, quoting approximately $3,500. Our downstairs ac unit wasn't coming on, so I called my home warranty company AHS and they sent Majestic A/C and Heating to my home. The service man looked at the outside units, but never tested it. He came in checked the thermostat then went into the attic. He told my husband we needed a new coil, and that a coil needed to be cleaned and that one was leaking. When my AC went out in the middle of a brutal Houston August, the original contractor told me it would be seven days just to get an evaluation. There was no way my family could wait a week in that heat, and we had already been without cooling for three days.I called for help, and Brian came out that very same day—even though it was already 8:30 PM. I would not recommend Air Majesty based on my experience with them through American Home Shield. Jim first came to my home for a ductwork problem. During that visit, he repeatedly asked me to give him a 5-star review through AHS, which I did. What bothered me afterward was that my return appointment was not scheduled until after I submitted that review.
