As an experienced 48 years ( Tenured Academic ) MD , Carelon's major objective is not to provide appropriate medical care , but to provide profit to its shareholders . Their peer to peer reviewers , have no interest in data , experience , or in actual providing patient care .This essentially costing the system while making profit . I received a denial of payment for a surgery I know nothing about. Health care providers are the shit aren’t they
Tried to get a diagnostic test switched to a different location. 30 minutes with a very confusing though pleasantly hyper-scripted woman Jennifer ( company policy is cruel to these poor people) before I waited for 10+ minutes to speak to Crystal the supervisor. She had limited options of what she could do but at least summarized the only option and explained the information quickly. I waited for the survey. They do not care about helping patients live happy and healthy lives. They only care about MONEY in their POCKETS! They will deny everything they can. Run from this company.
