Denies coverage for cancer, find another source of insurance. Seems like that have the same people that used to work at United Healthcare. Pay alot for insurance to be blanketed by denial that they have little knowledge of medical treatment vice medical doctors. Their lack of accountability is shown by no evidence in hopes that you don't appeal the claim.
Carelon reviews pre-authorization for BCBS. Their job is to deny medical services. My child needed an MRI on a fractured wrist, after getting two x-rays. Carelon denied the service on the basis of no x-ray (which makes no sense since there were two performed if they looked into the claims). Should be a simple misunderstanding that they could re-examine and approve the pre-authorization, right? Nope, they said its a 60 DAY appeal process. 60 Days...they are just hoping they can delay providing service to increase shareholder ... read more

If I knew this company would be involved with having a say in my medical care, I would have read reviews, I would DEFINITELY NOT have chosen my particular medical plan. To everyone that is choosing your health plan, ASK A TON OF QUESTIONS before choosing your medical plan. I was looking to save money with this horrible economy. I made a HUGE MISTAKE choosing my Anthem plan that goes thru this company for approvals of my medical care. Shame on Anthem for not informing consumers that this company will be involved.
