My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Westrick because of my Hashimoto symptoms. Even though my numbers are "in range" my symptoms of hair loss, fatigue, weight gain, unable to sleep, pain, etc are all very present. I made an appt and a day later got a call from her office letting me know she would not see me because in March of 2025 (9 months ago) my lab work presented in "normal range" and she doesn't see patients within normal range (again labs from 9 months ago) so she canceled the appointment. I couldn’t get an appointment with this doctor without a referral from a Northwestern GP. No exceptions. I went through hoops to get a referral faxed to them only to be told that I have to switch my GP. I’ve never heard of such a thing! Certainly not for a Medicare patient who has a plan that requires no referrals at all. I asked to speak to the business manager and they referred me to patient relations where no one answers the phone. What a system! My first appointment with her for my thyroid. She took time and explained everything that I needed to know. Thank god my test results were good. She sent me a message right away saying all test results are normal. I have been to other doctors when test results are normal they don’t call or text. She’s really nice if you need an endocrinologist go see her.
I'm 67 with an osteoporosis condition, been under treatment with Dr. Westrick for 2 years. She is patient to share the details of different treatments available for me. The office and the nurse are always attentive to my question and inquiry. I'm very grateful for this care team.
She’s supposed to be my moms doctor. She hasn’t thoroughly read her my chart messages and follows up by asking questions that the answer was given already via message. My moms blood sugar has been all over the place and has drawn no concern from this doctor. No questions answered and NOTHING done. If you’re looking for someone who actually cares for patients you need to find someone else. 1 star is being generous
