I consistently had to suggest tests myself, which were later confirmed to be necessary. Instead of addressing why my heart was behaving abnormally, I was prescribed medications that only made it appear normal on paper. At the same time, I was denied medications that had been helping with other conditions, simply because they might affect how my heart looked during monitoring. The focus was never on the underlying causes, only on controlling the numbers.
