I am a patient diagnosed 3 years ago with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. I had an appointment with this doctor because I changed insurance and I needed to follow my controls. At the first appointment he told me that my diagnosis was not correct, that what I had was chronic migraine, to which I told him that I was confused why I had not had tests to verify this. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's then Parkinsonism some years ago. His regular neuro was out of the office for an extended period of time. He was set to see Dr. Shwagfeh. All the years of being told and my husband being treated for Parkinson's and Parkinsonism, within a 40 minute appointment, he said he could not imagine why we ever thought that, he had no idea where we came up with that diagnosis and treated us like we had lost our minds. This was my first time seeing Dr. Shawagfeh. My appointment was in Temple, Tx. He is a really nice doctor, and listens when he asks questions, but I have dystonia of the eyes, face, jaw, and neck. It's been months since I was last treated, so these areas are driving me crazy. He only treated my eyes and one side of my neck, which so far hasn't helped me.
