I arrived with a friend who transported me. I presented my AI to speak for me. I have anomic aphasia. I stated this and also showed my medical alert aphasia card so the staff could stop and listen to my AI about why I was in the ER. The only person who took the time was after I kept pushing my phone in her face and repeating, "Anomic aphasia, I use AI."
