Overall, I found it overpriced and a little underwhelming. I would skip the salads. Paying $25 for a fairly basic chicken Caesar felt excessive. The other food was tasty, but it seemed very heavy on oil, grease, and butter. It is counter service, where you order at the front, which is perfectly fine. The drinks were decent. There is no air conditioning, which normally would not bother me much, but combined with the pricing and limited service, it made the experience feel like value and customer comfort were not the priority.
AhbA Costa Mesa is one of those places that somehow works perfectly for takeout, but feels even better when you sit down in person. We order from here all the time, and my go-to is their Caesar with salmon. The gem lettuce is always so crisp and consistent, and I love that the breadcrumbs are tossed all throughout instead of just sitting on top. Best burger ever.
It's over priced and underwhelming. The salads Id avoid $25 for a really basic chicken Caesar. The other food is tasty but it's because it's loaded with oil, grease and butter. Felt a little sick after eating. It's self serve where you order at front which is fine. The drinks are ok but again expensive for what you get. No A/C which I don't care normally but it just feels like they're cutting every corner in this place to pocket the money at the expense of the patron.
I’ve normally had positive experiences here, which made this visit especially disappointing. After we were seated, we were never offered water, even though I noticed other tables being served water without having to ask. When I finally requested some, the server asked if I needed two glasses, which felt like an odd question since there were two of us at the table.
