The scallion waffle was really good but I can't say the same for the other dishes. The omelette in the Egg Foo Young was overcooked, the fries were too salty. There wasn't much flavor in anything we tried. Service was excellent though and ambiance was nice but it wasn't enough to offset the quality of the food.
Agnes and Sherman remains one of our favorite restaurants in Houston due to its innovative take on Asian cuisine complemented by excellent service. When we received an invitation for a special multi-course event featuring guest chef Mr. Jiu from OpenTable, we jumped at the chance and invited another couple to join us for the five course experience, complete with beverage pairings. The cheeseburger fried rice with those sesame seeds was a total win, almost as much as the Texans tonight. I am clearly the best thing on the menu, so a smart, cute guy should reach out now before someone else beats him to it. Your move.
