Disgusting and not humane. Water for the animals was green, they were sitting in their own feces and they had cobb webs everywhere.

On September 25 I visited Aggie Feed & Chick Store feed store to inquire about chicks. Upon getting out of my car there was a strong smell of urine. I understand that a feed store will smell somewhat unpleasant however, the cumulative of old feces, birds, and unkempt animals was overwhelming. After reporting the issue to Dallas Animal Control, they quickly responded to the issue. They had given the owner three days to move the rabbits to bigger kennels and to clean the animals. Animal abuse and neglect. I really DON'T know how this place is open and selling animals. How can locals support this type of abuse?
I don't care how long this place has been here, when you allow living things to live in the conditions "provided" for the birds and animals in this feed store... you don't deserve to be in business. Dead animals lying in cages alongside the living. Chicks so piled up they've turned to cannibalizing each other. Filthy, feces-covered cages. It's disgusting, and something serious needs to be done to revoke these people's right to own a business with live animals.
Don't bother coming here if you actually expect service! If you want to stand around listening to men talk about breeding dogs, I guess this is the place for you! If you would like help finding product among their mess, you're S.O.L!! This was a great asset, to the neighborhood, with friendly, helpful service. What happened?!?
