I purchased a groupon with her. Like the negative reviews, she is a little hard to reach, but once you do you won’t regret it! You have to reconfirm with her the day before, and calling after 8-9pm is better than texting because she gets busy with clients during the day. I absolutely love my hair. It was the first time someone understood coarse, thick, wavy hair with the cut. I got a full balayage as well which was subtle but very nice. I always get compliments on it now. I’ll definitely be a regular.

This is honestly the first time I am writing a negative review for a hairstylist. I am just so frustrated. She doesn't check voice-mails or text messages so it takes way too long to even book the apppointment, and then when you finally get a hold of her and book it, she doesn't show up at the salon, claiming that I hadn't confirmed if I'm coming or not!! You never asked me to confirm again!! Wasted commute and very inconsiderate of customer's time! She clearly doesn't like Groupon based on other reviews I've read!

Do not go to her, but if you have to, at least don't purchase it from Groupon and pay the more expensive one because she hates it. Let me explain: First she tried to show how busy she is by saying no to any option I asked for. Then finally she confirmed an appointment and when I went there, she had forgotten about the appointment. I was quite frustrated but I accepted her offer to go back after 20 min. I have been getting my hair cut and highlighted with Mary Lou for the pass 3-4 years. She is an expert and does a great job at cutting my straight Asian hair. I always get compliments for my highlights.
