Dr Afong is a miracle worker. I have been pain free for over a year.
first visit to Dr. Afongs office - I had sent my testing ahead of time, he reviewed previously - We discussed my situation. He took plenty of time explaining exactly the issues with my back suggested A surgical procedure to reduce or eliminate my back pain. Was patient and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend, the office staff was polite and efficient, and I found the doctor to be very friendly and Knowledgeable.
I’m very pleased with this office and staff. I have had pain management doctors in the past that just want to pass out pills and not really deal with the problem at hand. I’m going to be having injections and also not taking narcotics anymore, which is very comforting to me. I mostly see the nurse back Jody Julien and she’s very thorough with her keeping up with my history and knowing when I need to have tests and other procedures if necessary.
I was referred to Dr. Afong's office for a pain pump. I went through the three trials. I had the surgery on December 2 and I'm not getting my pain pump filled until December 31. I have had three major back surgeries and I need a hip replacement. My pain level is a 10 out of 10. My home health nurse has called their office Monday and Tuesday today is now Wednesday telling them that my pain level is over the top. No return phone calls. Yesterday was Tuesday.
