I’m very pleased with this office and staff. I have had pain management doctors in the past that just want to pass out pills and not really deal with the problem at hand. I’m going to be having injections and also not taking narcotics anymore, which is very comforting to me. I mostly see the nurse back Jody Julien and she’s very thorough with her keeping up with my history and knowing when I need to have tests and other procedures if necessary.

I was referred to Dr. Afong's office for a pain pump. I went through the three trials. I had the surgery on December 2 and I'm not getting my pain pump filled until December 31. I have had three major back surgeries and I need a hip replacement. My pain level is a 10 out of 10. My home health nurse has called their office Monday and Tuesday today is now Wednesday telling them that my pain level is over the top. No return phone calls. Yesterday was Tuesday. Dr. Afong was great and the procedure he recommended worked miracles. His front office staff is great and very polite. Unfortunately, after my procedure, I received a bill from the anesthesiologist they used for $1200. This was a bill I was not expecting. No one told me the anesthesiologist was not an employee of the center but a contractor, nor did they tell me she was out of my network so my insurance wouldn't cover the cost of anesthesia. When I call to try to get the issue resolved, I'm told they'd let the office manager... read more
