Afiya Hamilton has truly been life changing for me. After living with constant back pain for 18 years and being unable to live and enjoy life the way I wanted to, I can now do things I never thought possible. Including careing for my special needs son the way he deserves and be pain free! I am incredibly grateful to the entire team at Afiya Hamilton for their exceptional and streamlined care! I was referred to the Afiya clinic in Hamilton from Urgent Care. I was told to call and book an appointment if I did not hear from them within 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called and I was booked for a phone consult. The doctor never called me, so I left a VM requesting another consult. I finally got through the next day and was given another phone consult appointment. Again, the doctor did not call me. Person who called booked me for an appointment even though he was told that the first treatment was not helpful. (booked so they could bill Ohip i guess). When I arrived I was told that the Ultra sound most likely would not work, and they could not do anything more for me. A complete waste of my time.
My dr sent a referral in February, and I finally had an initial treatment on Sept 1. Afterwards, I had a blinding throbbing headache. I called and left a voicemail that wasn't returned until the next day by someone who had no idea whether this was normal or what to do; she told me a nurse would call shortly. It's now almost 60 hours later and I still haven't heard back. No one answers the phone at the clinic. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.
