Every table was dirty so we chose the least dirty one. Maybe that contributed to the taste of my food. The meat is really gamey and iron tasting. The roasted chicken peas tasted ok but they are drowning in oil. The yogurt was watery on top indicating that it’s been sitting for more than a day. The rice and appetizer was the only thing that I could stomach.
This is a diamond in the rough. The Kabuly Palau is outstanding. The lamb is so tender it falls right off the bone and the rice is almost sweet from the carrots and raisins. I erected it to be spicy, but not in the least. The flavors feel like it was cooked with love in someone’s home. And the service was so kind and welcoming. It was my first time there and the guy behind the cashier made me feel like I was a family friend. Definitely returning here. Oh, and the lassi was the best we’ve had in a long time.
The Chicken Kahari is incredible
The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared.
