When I originally contacted Affordable Tree Care they came out promptly and gave me a fair estimate. I called them last Monday and scheduled the work (removal of 2 dead trees) for Friday. Was told I would get a call on Thursday evening with a time to expect their crew. No call on Thursday. Called first thing Friday morning and was told Thursday was windy and they were doing their Thursday jobs on Friday (acted like I was stupid for not realizing that would be the case). Let me tell you how the "insurance fraud" has turned out, so far. A "small branch" was the top 30 feet of a 70 foot tall maple tree, that Affordable Tree Care (ATC) decided they could take down in ONE single cut! The top 30 feet of this tree had been dead for years and was brittle. This top 30 foot piece broke free when the tree was dropped on ONE single cut and hit my house, my A/C, and destroyed my kids toy box. Affordable Tree Care dropped a tree on my central A/C unit, causing enough damage that it will have to be replaced. While they are insured, they are completely uncooperative, not filing a claim, not returning phone calls or email. Draw your own conclusion. They got 1 star because I can't give them 0 stars.
