Stay out of Lawrence!!
Apparently they drink and drive on the clock in their work vehicle. Wouldn't hire a business that thinks that little of themselves. On July 23, 2015 the owner and a co-worker were involved in a single vehicle wreck in Lawrence, KS at Locus and 2nd st. The driver was arrested on DWI, open alcohol in the truck (12 pack of beer) and the "owner" was belligerent and arguing with the police. This all occurred around 4pm. Awful! Do not use Affordable Painting. Wayne is the owner and I paid him $2,000 (1/2 of total job cost) to replace wood and paint my house. He cashed the check, worked for a day, left my house damaged and with debris in the yard and refused to finish the job. He has told me that his business is bankrupt, that he is leaving town and has also threatened me - all excuses and he will not refund my money. I am taking him to small claims court and pursuing all other available legal/law enforcement action at my disposal. I can supp... read more
