Mike is a fraud and dishonest person. I Needed a garage door person to complete a job, I contacted Mike ****. Mike gave me a price of $950 upfront money and $750 would be needed after the job was completed. He took our money I have been working with him for a few years I thought he was a nice guy he seem pretty nice he said he was coming back I did not know that my husband had already pay him but he told me that he was coming back he never showed back up he refused to answer his phone he said he contracted Covid which I knew he was lying then he said he has a death in the family he charges $320 to fix apart on our garage door he took the money and ran I need help any suggestions but I would say please don't use this company I'm... read more
Took my money and now will not answer calls or finish the work

I advised Mrs T***** the parts took longer then expected to receive due to the current epidemic we are in. Once the parts were available we set up an appointment for Saturday April 18th, at which time i was not feeling well. i I tryd to reach out to Mrs T***** and received her voicemail telling her inwould need to reschedule for the up coming week. Michael V*** is a con man! He charged over $200 to install a new limiter when it didn't need to be changed - all he had to do was adjust the gear on the sprocket connected to the limiter which would take all of 6 seconds. He lied and said it was stripped. He never quoted a trip charge, the price of the new part nor he quote a labor charge - he made it all up. Moreover, he charged a higher tax rate. The invoice wasn't itemized whatsoever. His business needs to be shut down immediately and I'm taking him to court.
Do not do business with Mike V***/Affordable Garage Door. He is a scammer and will overcharge you. He owes me $400 which he stated he never received, but I have bank records showing that he received the money. Do not send your business to him.
This company should be shut down. He put in the wrong sized spring- then either didn't show up or cancelled, last minute at least 5 appointments. He also used Precision Garage Door part- they do not distribute their parts- so Mike installed a used part from Another owner's garage.. I am absolutely disgusted by his lies and unprofessionalism.
Michael V is a thief-He has taken money from my parents for work that he never started around Christmas 2018. After numerous unanswered telephone calls, etc., he finally said he would do it. At that point my parents just want their money back. They paid him upfront and he deposited the check immediately!!!
Several weather delays slowed installation. Slow communication but they did a very good job and cleaned the site afterwards.
