Today, our attending physician was Dr. Pontas. He was very kind, thorough, and attentive while explaining my father’s complaints and reviewing his urine results. Dr. Cooper did a great job with my procedure, nurses were kind. Reason I'm giving a 2 star is the front with receptionists, they are snippy and can be rude the way they talk to the patients. I get they deal with majority of elderly patients but they also lack patience, compassion, and hospitality. The office manager needs to give more frequent training on this situation and hire more receptionists so they don't feel burnt out. As a new patient, I had a bumpy experience with Brittany during my intake call. When I provided my referral information, she said it wasn't on file—despite it being for this organization. I understand things happen and we all have tough days, but I had to advocate for myself before she conducted a more thorough search. Once she did look, she found my my personal information right away. I gently mentioned the experience to Brittany directly. I was very nervous to go here for the first time because I’m a young patient and was anxious that I would be judged or not listened to. My first appointment was with Katherine Goodloe, NP and I could not have had a better experience. I felt genuinely listened to and taken seriously, and I did not once feel like I was met with anything other than compassion and empathy by her.
