We came home to water coming down through the kitchen light fitting. AW Water Damage Restoration turned up inside three hours and made it safe before anything else. A ceiling was going to have to come out and they told me so immediately, with no false hope offered. Everything got dried out, everything got tested, and the kitchen is back to normal now.
called them after our finished basement took on water. they were out quick, explained the plan, and just kept me updated the whole way through. found them through a recommendation over in Niles and glad i did!
AW did a full water remediation job after a supply line behind the fridge let go and soaked the kitchen and part of the dining room. The hardwood was saved which I really didn't expect. They pulled the baseboards, dried the subfloor, and treated everything before putting it back together. You can't see where the damage was at all now. The moisture report they gave us afterward was thorough and clearly written.
Had a slow leak behind the kitchen wall that we didn't catch until the flooring started buckling. AW came out to assess and the water had spread further than I thought, into the subfloor and partway into the dining room. The extraction work was the part that surprised me most. They used some kind of mat system to pull water out of the hardwood without having to rip everything up, and a good chunk of the original flooring ended up being saved.
