So weird. For my early semesters at my uni, we were using United Health Care and my claims were all fine. Now we’re using Aetna and they haven’t processed my claims and keep asking for information about my second insurance, though I have uploaded the card with the whole information in it. Not surprised to see 1 ⭐️ I will update this once all my claims are reprocessed.

Aetna decided that I need to appeal to get services covered that my doctor ordered for a health problem I was having. The doctor appealed 6 months after Aetna refused to pay, and now I am on the hook. Now I have to appeal, almost 10 months after l received healthcare, because I had the audacity to have a health problem. But wait there's more, during the call where I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes, Aetna's story changed multiple times, especially after I asked for clarification. At first the reasoning they gave for not pa... read more

Aetna Medicare Advantage is the worst health insurance I've ever had! I had a severe upper respiratory infection, with underlying pulmonary issues, and was sent to an urgent care, where the doctor ordered covid and flu tests. Aetna refused to pay for the tests, sticking me with a $317.00 bill! I have called Aetna half a dozen times and filed two grievances trying to get them to pay for these medically necessary, doctor ordered clinic tests, yet they still refuse to pay. Now they say it's too late to file a grievance, even th... read more

It's a waste of money. They wont pay. I've had periodontal maintenance, surgeries, and procedures for over 15 years. Bought their dental policy last year but they refused to pay claims based on one meaningless reason: I can't prove I had root planing done. I had root planing done a couple times more than 17 years ago. That periodontal practice is long out of business. Not only that, but getting SRP done is completely unrelated to whether a person needs periodontal work. It's a specious reason, and this is what's going on the... read more

Only slightly less bad than United Healthcare but still the 2nd worst so they get roasted by Dr. Glaucomflecken in his videos. They do not cover my prescriptions because I pay my psychiatrist out of pocket. I can't find any in network mental health care providers. They also don't cover travel and lodging when I need to seek care from a specialist in another state I cannot find an available in network specialist in my area since it is an uncommon specialty. I know that some insurance companies will cover travel costs while Ae... read more
