Installed stainless steel liner, which was not long enough to safely connect to new stove pipe. Smoke and carbon monoxide are leaking into home. Owner Rick Soccio REFUSES to fix his faulty installation but was quick to take my $9k. WARNING... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT NEEDS INSTALLED FROM THIS SHADY COMPANY!!!

Purchased $9k woodstove that AES installed incorrectly. When asked to meet with Rick Soccio, the owner, to discuss the dangerous levels of CO and smoke being emitted into my home. He refused to meet with me. During install, the chimney pipe was cut TOO SHORT, therefore the stove pipe is not properly connected. Per code, there should be a 1.5 inch overlap. Insisted that all of my problems are due to the quality of my wood which resulted in a clogged chimney which is allowing smoke and CO2 to enter into my home. No show appointment due to snow on the road. Krista (scheduling manager) told me to "climb the roof and clean out my own chimney" and Rick (the owner) told me that it is not his fault that I did not think to have an alternate heat source. I still stand firm that communication within the company has a lot to be desired. Our fire table has been fixed successfully luckily, but it wasn’t without headaches. There was so much back and forth and persistence on our end to get it corrected. Based on other reviews, it seems we were simply the unlucky ones, but I would still proceed with caution in a purchase if something would go wrong. It felt like it was a “take the money and run” type of scenario.

I found AES Hearth & Patio on a Carlisle Chamber of Commerce flyer I received during the 2019 Holiday season. I wanted to replace the old propane log insert in my fireplace so I called them to help. After consulting with Levi in Newville I decided to replace the old logs with a full insert. Todd and Cody installed the new insert at the end of February and I want to give them a big Bravo Zulu for the job they did. They were right on time at 0800 and went right to work. The installers just left after setting up my new free standing gas stove which replaced an old wood stove. I am so pleased with the work they did. Excellent attention to detail. In addition, sales department was very professional and kept me informed. Thanks for a job well done by everyone. I am now enjoying the warmth of the stove.
