I will say Dr Rivers is a very good surgeon but I'm very very angry about the mastectomy that I had. Unfortunately I only had one breast removed now I'm left with one sagging pathetic looking breast. No one ever offered me or suggested I could have both breasts removed. I know other women that have had both breasts removed. And I don't agree with them telling me to get off of my estrogen patch. As a woman of color, I appreciate Dr. Rivers and the detailed care she gave me. She took her time to explain what I was going through. She explained what would happen and reassured me of the entire process. Her surgery saved my life. She is the very best surgeon in my opinion and came highly recommended. If you are looking for a surgeon that will explain, do what's best for you and take great care then Dr. Rivers is the doctor to go to. Thank you for saving my life Dr. Rivers.
All I have to say is wow. What a phenomenal doctor. From beginning to end, she is so warm, so intelligent, and so open to her patients. My mom is lucky enough to be under Dr. Rivers care and we are always leaving each appointment with no questions left unanswered. Dr. Rivers literally draws and explains the plan of care in detail every time. She is never rushing and she is always so empathetic and just amazing overall.
