The woman working at the front desk of the main entrance today around 9 am was extremely condescending and rude. As the face of the hospital you would expect this individual to be more welcoming.

Too many first names to list. From techs to nurses to Drs and specialists….. not to forget the truly gourmet food service and staff- this is the most amazing hospital I’ve ever experienced. 5 stars is 5 stars short of what Advocate Good Shepherd deserves. Thank you to Everyone!!!

On the morning of April 11, 2025, I came to Advocate Hospital in active labor after my water broke. Instead of receiving care and support, I experienced harassment, abuse, and trauma at the hands of the staff. I was pressured early on by a doctor who insisted I would not dilate past 4cm and pushed for unnecessary induction. We found our initial experience at the Advocate Good Shepherd Emergency Department to be disappointing. Upon arrival, the reception staff were prompt and professional. However, after being assigned a room, it took approximately 45 minutes for a Physician Assistant (PA) to arrive and order an X-ray. The X-ray department then took an additional 30 to 45 minutes.
