My girlfriend went to the ER here and it took over 4 hours to get any actual care and we had to ask them incessantly before they finally did something, they didn't even call her name in the waiting room. Do not go to this emergency room if you can avoid it.

My Mom went for outpatient surgery to replace the battery for her neural stimulator. The doctors & nurses were wonderful and I was orally kept up to date on her progress. My biggest complaint was there was ZERO cell phone signal inside the hospital and the public Wi-Fi (ahcpub) does NOT work at all. (NO Internet!) I was supposed to receive text messages about my Mom’s progress, but I couldn’t get anything whatsoever. Surgical floor. Phenomenal nurses. They set the standard of excellence! Neurological floor. Phenomenal staff. Outstanding bedside manner. Cardiac floor the same. My father was in the best hands. Mammogram staff. Perfect. All these floors offered kindness, empathy, professionalism, intelligence and organization.

I went to Good Shepherd with a cut and broken finger. Pain lever 9. First contact after triage was my insurance card and ID. First. Had to ask multiple times to numb up finger before anything else to help with the pain. Took well over a hour to have it numbed with a shot. Got x rays and stitches. Then I waited to have it rapped and bandaged for over 40 minutes before I finally walked out this all happened without ever seeing a doctor. Practitioner assistant was the best I saw.
