triage is insane here as ambulances are bringing in patients from all over Chicago. If you're not coming in by ambulance ($$) or with a gaping chainsaw wound, you're going to be waiting 8hrs to say hi to a nurse and then keep waiting until a room opens up. An Uber driver told me that NWM's emergency room has twice the number of beds so maybe try there when hurt but not dying. Horrible experience. I arrived at 9pm, was finally taken to the back around 5am. Didn’t get seen by a doctor until around 6:30am when a new shift started. I should’ve left way sooner but my son fell asleep so I toughed it out. I would never go back to this ER again. I thought because it was a children’s ER, that there would be more emphasis on the care of the children but air the wait, it was evident they don’t care. Terrible place, the staff is not polite. The wait is very long, I waited 6 hours to see a doctor. I am Asian and they treated me extremely discriminatory, they let those who came after us go first. I sat with two children and waited 6 hours at the reception. If I could give a 0 rating, I would.
