I recently had a total knee replacement at Florida Hospital. They required I take a Pre-Op Appt/Education class. Several pieces of information were given in this class and lots of it was incomplete. 5% of Total knee replacements go home same day. When I asked what the criteria is to go home the same day, I was told you must bring walker to the hospital to show PT that you can walk with it, have a BM and good vitals/clear lungs. Waited forever till I finally left. It was ridiculous. Plus there was blood dripped from the ER desk to the doors at the other end of the waiting room. More than welcome to provide pictures. Not going back there.
30 min wait to be seen in an emergency room is unforgivable.
Watch your billing. They made a mistake when they billed my insurance. It happens. Insurance asked them to resubmit the claim so they could fix it and send them money. AdventHealth flatout REFUSED!! So when I should pay nothing, now I’m stuck with a big bill. Funny thing is that the doctor billed correctly and got his money from insurance. Poor billing department and customer service. Never had a problem when it was Florida Hospital.
I was there on the 16th of 2019 with a very high blood pressure and my blood sugar was very high does the tech in the ER that made me feel is basically when she wasn’t taking care of her other patients she would be in my room just watching me basically sleeping talking to me making me feel with ease and basically rubbing my back to call me down I forget her name but I believe it had something sound like Lee Isles she’s a petite young woman short blond hair and she was like an angel I wish I could meet her or contact her to t... read more
Waiting 12 hours for an MRI. Offering an aspirin 15 hour later to help with signs of stroke. The common responses I’M SORRY or I DON’T KNOW. I’M not a cow so stop trying to milk me. Everyone pointing fingers but no one taking responsibility for the ball being dropped so many times. Lost paperwork and a hospital of this magnitude only has one MRI MACHINE?
