How very disappointing. I researched doctors who specialize in senior-care. Found what I thought would be a perfect fit for my 83 year old cousin. She called and was told they would call her back. After over a month of waiting, I called only to be told they are converting the practice to primary care for all ages and are doing a "system conversion" whatever that means and are NOT accepting new patients at this time. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who is 82 years old. She had this primary care with this office for over 5 years. She made an appointment over 2 weeks ago and she went up to here appointment that takes an hour or more due to traffic. She got to here appointment only to be turned away due to them not taking her insurance any more. On their website it still states that they they still accept this insurance as of today. Heard lots of great reviews about this office. Tried to get on waitlist for an appt 2 mos ago but was told to call back after I obtain my medicare number. When I called back today, I’m very disappointed to find out that they will not take anymore regular supplement patients, not even on waitlist but they only have spots for advantage plan patients.
My doctor recommended this location after I turned 65 but was informed today they do not take Medicare Part B or United Healthcare Supplement Plan G which is the best coverage one can have with part B. Being a 65+ healthcare provider through AdventHealth one would think they would cover Medicare Part B which is what 60% of seniors carry.
Dr. Libby is the best doctor I’ve had the pleasure of seeing. He has a gracious but humorous bedside manner. And he spends the time necessary to address all of my issues. I highly recommend him!
