Care was fine but I was not told this would be billed as a hospital visit even when referred internally — and even though the hematology department is not a hospital. Nice way to get $1000 out of patients instead of $60 - $150. Was referred for an iron deficiency.
They waste so much time on slowly sending referrals & eventually calling patients back; it adds up. I’ve waiting over a yr to fix my med issue with little progress
BEWARE! YOU WILL BE BILLED AS IF YOU VISITED THE HOSPITAL (HOSPITAL CHARGES) WHEN YOU SEE ANY SPECIALIST WHOSE OFFICE IS LOCATED IN THE CANCER CENTER BLDG NEXT TO THE MAIN HOSPITAL!!!! I saw a hematologist whose office is located in the Cancer Center bldg twice this yr for a typical in-office visit. I also had blood drawn once. I made sure this dr was in-network with my ins before my 1st visit. However NO ONE tells you that you will be billed and charged as if you were in the hospital even though this dept isn't located insi... read more
