Online and mobile banking has taken a massive nosedive in quality since the merger. I'm currently locked out of my account with an error code that their representative on the phone couldn't explain or justify. I got transferred into a hold that went on for almost an hour before I gave up and hung up. I checked their website and it says mobile banking is "unavailable due to infrastructure issues." I was a happy member of Advantis. After the merger Rivermark has been impersonal and dismissive. The merger caused huge headaches and changed my account to include services I never opted into. I’ve been attempting to get them to fix this issue for weeks, but have yet to get a final response or the hundreds in fees they have charged me returned. There are a ton of local credit unions where you can still call a branch and not a random call center. I’d recommend joining one of those.
I had a car loan with this bank. I have had to go in multiple times to close my loan. I spoke to Alex at the Lombard location who was unable to do anything. He said he had closed my account. Just joking called me back an hour later to come back to the branch to finish my transaction & it’s still not done. Guess what? I have to do it online myself. He still couldn’t help me. It’s a week later & I still don’t have my money. I would never do business with them & you shouldn’t either.
I’ve been a member of Advantis Credit Union for almost 20 years. From home loans to CD’s to account login assistance, they have been consistent in providing exceptional customer services. The new North Lombard branch is a great asset to the North Portland community. Clean, modern and the same exceptional service that I’ve enjoyed at other locations.
