Literally has the best doctors and NP around. Dr. Emm is the best, and I could not ask for a better OBGYN. NP Brittany I only saw once, but she was so sweet and amazing, as was her nurse. Now Dr. Emm's nurse Carol... now she is the real MVP. I cannot say enough good words about her. I have been going to AWH since May 2023 and they were very prompt for any responses for any queries until start of 2025. But seems like the office has become super unorganized in 2025. Wait time past appointment time has increased up to 40 mins, it just messes up the with work schedule because I have to take partial day off and never been able to finish appointments on time. No matter how many voice mails you leave, you will not get a response. It’s just getting frustrating to be coming here.
I wonder if I wasn’t black would I have been taken more seriously. :( Went to the location in Normal IL. Waited almost an hour just to be seen even though I had an appointment. One of the older ladies at the front desk seem very sweet. But office is unorganized. My job faxed Dr.Linsey & her team papers to be filled out. So I can take intermittent leave when needed. Tried to call and make an appt, explained I haven't been to any gyno exam since PP shut down and I was worried because I missed my period. Receptionist had 0 care in her face, sounded like I was bothering her, and basically said they had 0 help or appointments to offer me here unless I was confirmed pregnant already and/or was having complications. Apparently this isn't actually a gyno office for women's healthcare but is just solely here for pregnant women only.
I was referred for recurrent infections however, when I continued to have these recurrent infections I was told to go to prompt care as they did not have availability (for months this would occur, I get pregnant ppl are priority but shouldn’t be at the detriment of my care). Prompt care diagnosed the infection however it still took this facility 6 months to acknowledge that diagnosis— mandating their own testing(the exact same test).
