It took 22 mins on the phone with three different people to see if they accepted my insurance. They wanted personal data unrelated to my insurance info. I was hung up on when I questioned this. I called back and they finally said they could just take my insurance numbers. Finally they told me that no they did not accept my insurance. Advanced Psychiatry Associates is seriously an amazing place! I personally see Dr Rachel and she is awesome and I always feel like she's actually listening to what I have to say and I feel like a lot of times doctors these days just don't care about their patients and that's not the case at Advanced Psychiatry Associates from Dr Rachel all the way down to Nolan who just help me and fixed a prescription issue within a matter of 15 or so minutes for me. I received a referral for cognitive therapy from my doctor to APA. I was called to schedule (weeks after the referral). The scheduler pushed me to pursue an appointment with a psychiatrist despite telling him I was pursuing therapy. I complied and saw the psychiatrist, and we agreed to move forward with therapy. The scheduler called again and pushed me to see the psychiatrist again, despite me telling him the doctor and I had decided on therapy moving forward.
