WMC Advanced Physician Services does provide one of the broader offerings of different specialties in Westchester. Patient care here is regrettably not a priority. I have had my PCP tell me that a sore on my waist was no problem with just a glance, only to find that it was a large abscess when it landed me in the ER 2 days later. Billing is regularly wrong, orders aren't sent to the lab, and confirmed appointments are unknown to the staff when the patient shows up. These are all things that I have experienced personally. My PCP frontdesk was very rude, inpatient and had no basic knowledge about medical insurance. They messed up follow up schedules and delayed Rx significantly. When inquiring via phone call, no one seems had a clue about their occupational responsibilities. My PCP however is a super nice doctor but the supportive staff was another opposite level.
Angela and Daniel at WMCHealth APS Call Center were exceptionally caring, empathetic, patient and professional. They both went above and beyond to assist me in solving my issue and reaching my PCP during a very difficult situation. Too big corporate style operation to take care of their patients. Hard to get an appointment on desired time frame. They are selective on health insurance. Good choice of physicians. Clean and nice facilities with poor customer/patients service experience. Clinical care is good and pain starts to deal with any after treatment services like insurance issues or other problems associated with after treatment communication and coordination.
