Saw Dr Dawson for a torn meniscus. He didn’t listen to my concerns AT ALL and didn’t even pull up all the images of my MRI. I have been suffering with pain and mechanical symptoms since November and he brushed me off. I had to pull up the radiologist report for him and he said he “didn’t trust it,” because he couldn’t see what they were talking about….again didn’t even pull up all of the MRI images taken. A couple days after shoulder surgery I felt a tendon pop and had massive burning in my forearm and bicep that lasted for days. Called the office to let them know and they didn't figure any more action was needed. Postop appointment told dr wittum I was still having issues and worse pain and discomfort than before the surgery. He puts his hands up and says I don't know, we can do physical therapy, not do an mri to see what tore up again. Dr Whittum has 0 bedside manner. Patients first??? Not this Dr. Refused to do any surgery due to weight, lose a large amount (50 +) weight - Walks out of the room, with the door open “lose more” in a derogatory tone. I found a surgeon in Tri-Cities, who was encouraging and did both my knees. Beware I would not see this man again if he was the last surgeon on earth.
