I met Jay at Advanced Marine Diesel when he surveyed our used (2023) boat we were purchasing and our engines maintenance transferred through to them. Jay and his team have been top-notch from running 2.5 hours south on a Friday swap a part out so we can fish Saturday or taking many out of hours calls to walk me through any questions i may have. Advanced Marine Diesel and Jay will be our go-to’s for hopefully many more years of boat ownership!
I was extremely disappointed with the work Jay and Advanced Marine Diesel performed during an engine replacement on my boat this year. Jay failed to make an accurate assessment of the work required to replace the engine resulting in significant modifications to the existing cooling and exhaust systems that proved to be unnecessary resulting in 6 months haul out time and $15k in costs that most of it proved to be unnecessary.
