I have worked in healthcare for 40 years and would advise to avoid this office. I was seen for a small mark on my arm that the PA said was nothing, but had an intern shadowing him so stated he was going to burn it off. He did not talk about options or the fact that it would cost $683. Terrible experience--I have been going to Advanced Dermatology Palm Harbor for many years. I have had a few different doctors during that time and I am sad to say that I will be looking for a new dermatologist after my most recent visit. This is the first time I saw Dr. Cardona. I was in for a full skin check. The male nurse spoke Spanish, as did Dr. Cardona, but I do not. Scott Freeman expertly removed the pilar cyst from my scalp. He has a great demeanor and is a complete professional. I highly recommend him!
The waiting area and rooms were clean and bright. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The doctor and assistant were knowledgeable, explained things clearly, and showed genuine concern. The only thing I would improve is the service when there are issues with filling a prescription. It is difficult to call in. You get a bunch of computer choices before you get a person who can resolve the issue.
