I too am baffled by the low reviews - I've used several times nd have been happy with the service and the value
I purchased a Groupon to try out their company. They rescheduled my Friday appointment and promised someone would call on Monday to reschedule. By Wednesday no call. I finally got in touch with them and rescheduled. No show. I rescheduled again for this past Saturday where they "promised" they would be there at 11:30a. Waited for several hours past the appointment time and again a no show. I've left multiple messages and have received no calls back. Terrible experience.
I don't understand all of the 1 star reviews. I've used ACT several times over the past few years and was totally satisfied. They called in advance of their arrival, were courteous and professional, and my carpets looked very good. I used them again last week (March 2016). It was the same crew as the past couple of times and they were great to work with. Plus, they didn't try to sell me a bunch of extra services like some carpet cleaners do.
Had a scheduled service with this company after they matched the groupon price without me having to purchase the groupon. They canceled a few hours before the scheduled time, stating that the rain has caused them to run behind. I had moved a lot of my furniture out of the way a few hours before and had to move everything back. I ended up using B&B carpet cleaning who did a awesome job.
