I called several refinishing companies to get a ballpark estimate. Only two actually answered my call and the rest didnt even bother returning my call. Out of the two, Advanced Bathtub Refinishing has much more experience with about 15 experienced bathtub refinishers who are certified refinishers. I selected Advanced Bathtub Refinishing because of their alleged 22 years in business in Austin. Unfortunately the guy who came out to do the work admitted he had only been doing bathtub refinishing for 6 MONTHS. he had to come back because of big gobs of finish streaking down the interior of the tub. I think the finish is already chipping in a couple of places. Not quite what I expected. Regarding that 5 year warranty - I dont think anyone ever gave me anything in writing. Id shop around.

I have used Advanced Bathtub Refinishing on projects including condo conversions, hotel remodels and house flipping over the last 23 years. thay have always done on outstanding job for us. I would never coinsider using anyone else. They use all the latest equipment and materials that have a very low odor. One new guy who does tub refinishing come to my project in Soco says he has an 8 year warranty on his tubs, hes only been in austin 8 months! Think hell be around in 8 years? Hi, I used these guys to refinish an antique bathtub and from the minute I called the owner took the time to explain the whole process. When they came out they were courteous and clean. The tub looks better than new and the overall experience was really good!
