Our family has had a terrible experience here. Pete (specifically) came very highly recommended and messed up the service on our vehicle and refused to make it right. He even refused to discount parts or labor on what had to be done as a result. I highly suggest going elsewhere, I strongly dislike anyone who takes advantage of a young family—even when they are admittedly wrong but won’t rectify the situation.
Being new to Texas, we reached out to friends and neighbors as we searched for an auto mechanic and Pete came very highly recommended. We were told that he was honest, direct, and would not overcharge or make up additional things that “needed work.” Those sound like all the things you want in a mechanic right? At first, it appeared we were getting great service from Advanced Automobile and Transmission after switching from a different repair shop in the area. We always had to pay far more than initial estimates, which wouldn’t be a big deal if the problems on our vehicle were worse than initially thought. In June we took our vehicle in for an inspection since it was supposed to be inspected in order to register it in the state. This is the second time I have taken a vehicle to these guys. They know what they are doing, get straight to the point, they do not try to sell you what you don't need, and they are very affordable. The first time I used these guys, I had a 2001 Ford Focus. We kept having to replace the alternator. After going to several different places when this would happen, we finally found out why this was going on, and they fixed it, and we never had any more problems with it.
