Dr Collaco has been my allergist for over 10 years and is the best allergist I have ever had. I suffered horrible allergies from childhood until I saw Dr. Collaco. I came to him after sinus surgery, cortisone injections, and other doctors allergy shots were not able to help me achieve the relief I needed. I did take the weekly shots he recommended for several years but this time I got results. His shot regime made a very big difference to how symptomatic I am over the course of a year. He is the best!
Dr Collaco is every bit as much of a detective as a doctor. He really spent a lot of time trying to puzzle out what was making me break out in hives. He is an excellent listener and does not rush you! I was very impressed with his thoroughness and his warmth. You could tell he really cared about making you feel better. I would recommend to anyone!
Originally, I was referred to another local allergist. But when they couldnt take me for more than 2 weeks, I continued to search for practices alike that also accepted my insurance. The first time I called Dr. Collaco, they understood the seriousness of my symptoms and were able to see me the very next day. Ive been using Dr. Collaco for many years - followed him from a different practice. The staff is friendly and organized, very professional. The office is clean and neat. Dr. C is very knowledgable and has gotten my asthma and allergies in check. He always checks on my "general" health, not just my current complaint. Everyone in the office is caring and compasionate. You are treated as an important individual, not just another number that walked through the door like at some of those BIG clinics. I would highly recommend!
I visited Dr. Collaco for the first time last spring after suffering for many seasons with shortness of breath. It had begun to affect my sleep and level of activity. I had seen other physicians in the past and was utilizing some home remedies, but with no success. After 2 visits, Dr. Collaco had created a regimen of breathing exercises and medications and I was breathing freely again. I have nothing but the best to say about Dr. Collaco and his staff. From day one I always feel at home and you dont get that often at many doctors offices. Amazing! Dr. Collaco was amazing at getting my family the solutions we needed to deal with seasonal allergies and asthma. Every experience we have had has been so positive. Our quality of life has improved. With so many doctors in Houston, why go anywhere but the best? Dr. Collacos knowledge and courteousness is a 5 star rating. Dr. Collaco and his staff are tremendous. The entire experience from parking to diagnosis and treatment was handled quickly and professionally. I really like that Dr. Collaco gets to the root of the problem and doesnt just prescribe antibiotics when unnecessary. He has really helped myself and my family deal with allergies and asthma issues, especially my young daughter, who has made amazing progress under Dr. Collacos care.
Dr. Collaco gave me some real help and relief after dealing with discomfort for two years that was previously diagnosed by many doctors as psychosomatic or an array of conditions that after treatment didnt provide any relief.
