Inept is the best word to describe how my recent online order for instore pickup was handled. Order was placed on a Tuesday. Received email on Saturday that order was ready for pickup followed immediately by another email that my order had been picked up by Advance Auto. Apparently, someone else had ordered and picked up the same item and my order was noted as complete because it was the same item even though the order numbers were different. Although the website said that they had an item in stock at the store, the item in question was not present. However, the employee at the front desk was very helpful - he helped us look for the product and then looked for it in the back himself. We ended up purchasing a similar product and were satisfied with our purchase. The store is clean and well maintained.
I'm giving the guy Sonny a huge shout-out. My battery died in my car and he was the ONLY one attentive to me being at the counter, stopped what he was doing to ring me up. My battery needed a jump after the purchase and Sonny jumped my vehicle and also called the repair shop to help me get my car serviced without an appointment. Finally, he told me to bring back my old battery and he stopped once again to help me while the other Associates just looked at me at the counter. Dealing with car maintenance is always a headache, but AA Mclean makes it bearable. I was in and out of this store four times today, trying to change my girlfriend's brakes. I received some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Rohan and the manager, Sonny, went above and beyond all day to get me what I needed at the best price. You can tell these guys genuinely care about their customers and their cars. Thank you, AA Mclean.
