If I could put zero stars, I absolutely would! A young family member of mine was sent to Atrium from the Emergency Room because he was suicidal and they didn’t even keep him a whole day!! THEY SENT HIM HOME WITH NOTHING! NO RESOURCES, NOTHING!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! Messing with people’s lives out here!! SMH! I’m filing a report or something ASAP because this is NOT okay. I’m sure they wouldn’t treat their own family this way!!!
Went in for help and came out feeling worse than ever. The so called doctor treated me like crap and took me off my seizure meds and didn't tell me why. He yelled at me the whole time and treated me like I'm stupid.
Contrary to some of the reviews, I owe my life to this place. My two day stay (much to my dismay at the time) completely shifted my focus, outlook, mood, sleep and general enjoyment of my own existence. My nurses (Anthony & Kenyatta), Tech (Yvonne) & Dr. Lazzara were diligent, proactive, caring and validating. I am endlessly, relentlessly and aggressively grateful.
Their isolated unit is scary and you feel suffocated in there. The nurses do not attend to your need and the doctors misdiagnosed me and treated me unfairly. U go crazy in their wards. If you cheek on their dangerous antipsychotics, they force it on u in any brutal way possible and then sometimes u swallow and other times u don't which causes u to become mentally unstable.
