I got a 450 sq ft detached ADU constructed as a home office in Oakland. ADU Builders Bay Area assisted me through building department hoops, particularly with PG&E delays that left me stuck for more than a month. They were on top of all the paperwork and kept me posted weekly. Now I've got a quiet place to work and even a kitchenette, and it did not bust my budget. Couldn't recommend them more.
We constructed an ADU next to our Cupertino home to help our adult son save money. ADU Builders handled everything—design, permit, construction. Few hiccups with utility hookups, but they proactively resolved them. I liked that when I mentioned concern re: cost or timeline deviation, they spent time explaining the 'why' behind it. The finished ADU has skylights, soundproofing, and even a smart thermostat. My son moved in and calls it "cozy adulting space." Great work by the team.
