ADT customer for years. We recently moved and wanted to continue with ADT. We went ahead and set up the move and bought the required equipment. The installer was awesome. A couple of weeks went by and we received flyers for free equipment through various promotional opportunities equalling the money we just spent. I reached out to ADT corporate and got bounced around three different times only to be told there is nothing they will consider for at least one year. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with ADT. When the technician came to install my system, he took my phone, zoomed in on the signature line, and told me I was simply signing for the installation. At no point did he explain — or even mention — that I was agreeing to a 5-year contract. I didn’t find out until the next day, when I called ADT, and was told that there was nothing they could do and that I should “learn the lesson.” That response alone told me everything I needed to know about how little they value ho... read more
