I’ve been a customer for ADT for 7 years without incident. I recently had a break in and had a terrible experience with the entire ADT brand. First my windows were burst and the alarm didn’t sound even though it was armed. Also I was in the home so upon waking up I asked Google Nest to call 911 which it responded they aren’t allowed to do so. Went through a few agents before I got this gem…that refused to call me by my actual name. The first time I corrected her and was nice about it…the second time I was not. I had been disconnected on purpose, told incorrect information I was told would incur a $59 charge to have a tech come out and fix things and when I asked for a manager was told to call the 800 number and the chat was again disconnected. 4 hours of “chatting” and 2 of my cameras don’t work all because my WiFi was updated. It should not be this hard to do.
I normally do not leave bad reviews but I will for ADT. My defective smoke detectors have called the fire department 4 times within last month and today. All because of a faulty smoke detectors. Today the fire department received a message for carbon monoxide when I do not have that type of detector installed. The technician was at my home this morning and had to reset the detectors. if I could give no stars that would be the rating I would give. Lied from jump,dated equipment and lied on the phone when someone would come out to collect equipment..Noone will call or come out..
I have been manipulated, lied to and told incorrect information from ADT several times in the last 3 weeks. They owed me a refund for an incorrect charge. Was told that the funds were going to be reissued to my account within 3-5 business days, then when that didn't happen. I had to call them, argue with customer service that they'd charged me additional service fees AND never returned my refund. Which they confirmed was not returned, due to a mistake on their end.
