DO NOT GET ADT. I WAS LITERALLY ROBBED UNDER SUPERVISION OF ADT. I WAS TRANSFERRED 8 DIFFERENT TIMES AND NOBODY WOULD HELP THIS PHONECALL WAS OVER AN HOUR LONG . THEY WILL NOT LET ME CANCEL THE PLAN WITHOUT PAYING OVER $1000. I NOW HAVE 18K GONE AND THEY WANT ME TO ROB ME OF AN ADDITIONAL $1000 TO CANCEL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HOLD UP ON THEIR END OF THEIR CONTRACT. THE CAMERAS RARELY WORK. I JUST GOT THIS SYSTEM IN APRIL AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES.
We moved to a new house. ADT connected us to a local rep who assured us that if we set up a new subscription at our new house, the old one would be cancelled with no further payments needed on the old contract. The contract I signed also attested to this. After the install, I called into the Relocation team to make sure they had the change. They stopped the monthly billing and sent me a bill for $1023.78 for early cancellation (remainder of contract). Wish I could leave 0 stars. They got me. Had the old system in my old house. We moved and the “customer service rep” lied to me about what the cost was going to be at the new house. Absolutely hate this new system. Paying double for it. I’m under contract for 2 years. When my last day on contract is over I’m burning it all in my fire pit. A young salesperson used a high-pressure tactic and made a concerning excuse to enter my home when only my 14-year-old sister was present. I came home from work to find him inside, engaging in a sales pitch. I immediately asked him to leave, but he continued pressing his pitch and ignored my request. I had to ask him multiple times before he finally exited the home. This behavior was completely unacceptable and inappropriate, especially given that a minor was involved and no adult had given permission to enter.
