The local representative who came to set up our ADT system was excellent. Since we already had the equipment, it was simply a reinstall, and that part went smoothly. However, we were told we could cancel after one year. When I attempted to cancel 18 months later, I was informed I had signed a three-year contract and was sent the agreement. I hate your services and can't wait to get rid of them as soon as my contract is up. All I get are false alarms and they're costing me money. I have had to completely uninstall one of the smoke alarms that your tech placed too close to my stove due to the number of false alarms, and now I had another one because of some dust from renovations. The faceplate isn't user friendly. You always dispatch BEFORE you call and verify despite my consistent request not to do that. You ask for some random password that I set up years ago ... read more

So I have now spent well over 10 hours in contact with adt’s customer support. I mistakenly ordered the wrong part which is my fault I understand. I called their customer support 5 minutes after I placed the order and tried to cancel the order it took 3 HOURS to get ahold of someone. Once I finally got ahold of them they told me it couldn’t be canceled that the warehouse had already started to pack the order, so I was told to wait till the order arrived and just return it. Run far and run fast from these people! This is the most unprofessional group I have ever encountered. I'm now convinced that lying to customers is probably in the ADT mission and vision statement. 1) You can't "cancel" anything here. Anyone representing themselves in the "cancellation" department is actually in the "retention" department. If they don't retain you as a customer, they just start lying and telling you you're account is cancelled but they continue to charge you. 2) You will NEVER speak to the same person twice.... read more

ADTs representatives initial response to my request for assistance was to ask me to turn over control of my phone to him because the application to guide me was not working. I refused and requested an appointment. I was informed appointments were only given requiring a four hour window. No appointments are offered with a shorter window such as an hour. I had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate ADT including moving a doctor's appointment. I chose between eight and noon today, moving my doctor to later in the day. Received... read more
