Review for ADT Security I’ve been an ADT customer for nearly 3 years, and I’ve never been more frustrated with a company in my life. Trying to cancel or even get a straight answer has been worse than dealing with Comcast. One minute I’m being told there’s a cancellation fee and I’m breaking a contract, the next minute someone offers me 3 months free and says I can cancel after that with no issue. A little frustrated with who ADT is hiring as "sales reps"... We had a sales rep (Kevin) ring our doorbell at 8pm last night. it startled the whole family as it was late and after normal business hours. When I nicely told the rep (Kevin) we were not interested, they kept pushing and stated "you can't break me"... I understand people have a job to do, but business should be conducted during normal business hours and not when people are going to bed. This rep did not represent ADT professionally.
ADT is a remarkably dishonest company. I would discourage in the strongest terms anyone trusting anything their representatives have to say. This may not be the representatives faults but likely pressure based on company policy to force sales and account retention. I asked for my account to be canceled after switching security providers due to the unacceptable costs to update my equipment and rising monthly costs. Instead, against my instructions, a two month hold was placed on my account, followed by the resumption of charg... read more
