Horrible customer service and predatory service. They will basically trespass into your home, aggressively sell you a overpriced propietraty camera system, lock you in a contract, and then make it impossible to cancel service. Their customer service reps are trained to rotate people through their calling system - people in billing needing to "escalate to billing department", and then deny that they aren't exactly that... I have been an ADT customer for over 6 years. All of the equipment I have from them under the original contract has been paid. I only receive monitoring service from them. I called today to cancel service I no longer and not using. I was told I had a new contract added in 2024, that I don’t recall signing up for, and it is a three year contract until 2027. I was told it would cost over $900 to cancel the contract because I have time remaining. And this contract is only for monitoring and not for equipment. Asked to speak to ... read more
*Their response below is corporate BS with no backing. Stay away and purchase your own system. ADT has their services split across four different apps that are terrible, and since they use google hardware it locks you into googles app whether you want to or not. Their help desk is a crappy AI system and if you get through to anyone you're left on hold for forever only to have them either bounce you around or not be able to resolve your problem.
