Location is tough to beat. There is a bit of a hill walking back from the beach but not bad. It’s close to all the restaurants and shopping of Carmel and a few blocks down from La Playa. The rooms are huge compared to the standard of more modern hotels. There isn’t food service, and turn down service needs to be requested. Price and size of rooms are excellent. Worth it for the value and location.
Our stay at the Adobe Inn in Carmel-by-the-Sea was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. Check-in with Jean was quick and friendly — she made us feel right at home. One charming touch is that the Adobe Inn still uses traditional keys instead of electronic cards. Perfect for our overnight stay in Carmel. Great location. No frills but we didn’t mind because we were out exploring. The room we had was huge! Loved the fireplace. Dog friendly! Carmel is very peaceful
