I went through a program called Parts Upgrade back in the late 90's. The training, implementation, monitoring, and follow thru from ADMI made a significant improvement not only in the inventory but also the entire parts staff. We reduced idle inventory by $30,000 in six months using our manufacturers money and not ours. In addition, we completely stopped Idle Growth. I went through the whole program. One of the instructors came to my dealership for a month to work with me. I don't recall his name at the moment, it was 2003-04 @ Oracle Ford- Mercury outside Tucson,Az. He was truly an expert and taught me fundementals as well as some of his own tricks of the trade to run my parts dept better.
