Great location, thats where it ends. Hotel under renovation, no room service, no bar, and no ice for in room drinks, and no solutions in place when you ring room service, very poor contingency planning. Rooms grubby, lighting dingy enough to hide lack of cleanliness, whole thing had a weird Quentin Tarantino weird Hotel vibe. We had an un announced power outage for 30 mins. The Adelphi hotel is run down and somewhat dirty. The hotel manager needs to have a good look around. Stains on our carpet, dirt around the legs of bathroom sinks and ceiling man hole sagging down. Location excellent but noisy. Staff friendly but 50 year old woman wearing a black polar fleece more suitable for gardening. They should look professional. Bed very comfortable, nice linen. Foyer tiny and cramped. Art work and styling would be attractive if cared for.

Would not stay again. Poor service. In fact no service. Referred to me as one of the Marriott customers with an issue over late checkout.. no food (restates shut for renovation. No laundry. No reason or apology. Rooms are finished in stainless steel and wood so they’re really cold and noisy. Not my style. And will not ever go back a bit grubby public areas. I stayed for three days and spoke to nobody. Reception are too busy to chat or welcome guests

Unfortunately this hotel has gone massively downhill since we last stayed here. Seemingly under renovation, the restaurant and rooftop bar are now closed so there is no service available for food or drink (none of which was mentioned when we booked.) The room was tired with stains throughout the carpet and wreaked of cigarette smoke. The bathroom silicone was riddled with mould and the lamp at the bedside had a very temporary and unsafe "fix" at the plug joint. Great location, there is a foyer refurb going on which makes the entrance cramped & not very welcoming. Room was spacious and bed comfy. Everything was dated and shabby but clean. The pool was great! Watching the city below us through the watery glass was a thrill.
