He took me in after the surgeon at my local hospital told the emergency room doctor that he wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole, so needless to say after my 175 mile trip in a helicopter to Vanderbilt and surgery for acute Pancreatitis by Dr May and three months of critical care and 5 months of follow up I am still above ground 12 years later.
Dr May saved my life in 2015. I had emergency surgery and peritonitis and he took the time and skill to treat me, and performed a perfect surgery. When i say it was life threatening, that is the truth. His fast acting, thinking and skill saved me. I wish I could thank him myself.
I have highest regards for the Vanderbilt Hospital and Trauma Center!!
